☀️ Morning Routine
Focus: protect, hydrate, and brighten. Always finish with SPF.
Gentle Hydrating Cleanser
Use a cream or lotion cleanser - never foaming. Look for ceramides or glycerin. Avoid sulfates which strip dry skin's natural oils.
Hydrating Toner (optional)
Apply a hydrating, alcohol-free toner to prep skin and boost moisture absorption. Look for hyaluronic acid or glycerin.
Vitamin C Serum
Apply while skin is slightly damp. Vitamin C in the morning provides antioxidant protection against UV damage and brightens over time. Start with 10% if new to it.
Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Apply to damp skin immediately after Vitamin C. Hyaluronic acid draws moisture into the skin and keeps it there. The #1 dry skin ingredient.
SPF Moisturizer (SPF 30+)
This is non-negotiable. UV damage is the #1 cause of premature aging. Use a cream-based SPF moisturizer that provides hydration and protection in one step.
🌙 Evening Routine
Focus: repair and regenerate overnight. This is when actives do their best work.
Gentle Hydrating Cleanser
Same cleanser as morning, or try a balm or oil cleanser first to remove SPF and makeup, followed by a gentle cleanser (double cleanse).
Retinol Serum (2-3x per week)
Retinol is the gold standard anti-aging ingredient. Start at 0.25-0.5% and apply only 2-3 nights per week. Build up slowly over months to avoid irritation on dry skin.
Peptide Cream
On non-retinol nights, use a peptide treatment. Peptides signal your skin to produce more collagen and work synergistically with hyaluronic acid to plump fine lines.
Rich Moisturizer / Sleeping Mask
Seal everything in with a ceramide-rich moisturizer or sleeping mask. For very dry skin, add a few drops of squalane or facial oil on top before the moisturizer.
