☀️ Morning Routine
Focus: control oil, minimize pores, and protect without clogging.
Salicylic Acid Gel Cleanser
Use a BHA-based gel cleanser in the morning to clear pores and control oil. Salicylic acid penetrates the pore lining to dissolve excess sebum. Use twice daily maximum.
Niacinamide Toner / Serum
Niacinamide at 5-10% reduces sebum production, minimizes pore appearance, and has anti-inflammatory properties that calm active breakouts. Apply after cleansing.
Lightweight Oil-Free Moisturizer
Oily skin still needs moisture - skipping it causes your skin to overcompensate with more oil. Use a gel or water-based moisturizer labeled non-comedogenic.
Oil-Free Mattifying SPF 30+
Many oily-skin people skip SPF because it feels greasy - but UV damage causes post-acne marks to darken. Use a lightweight gel or fluid SPF labeled "oil-free" or "matte finish."
🌙 Evening Routine
Focus: deep-clean pores, treat active breakouts, and restore balance overnight.
Salicylic Acid Gel Cleanser
Repeat morning cleanser. Remove the day's sunscreen, makeup, and pollution buildup - this is when BHA cleansing matters most.
BHA Toner (3x per week)
Use a 1-2% salicylic acid liquid exfoliant on Monday/Wednesday/Friday evenings. Swipe across entire face with a cotton pad. This step deep-cleans pores and prevents new breakouts.
Niacinamide Serum
Apply niacinamide serum every evening after cleansing. Evening application lets it work overnight to regulate oil production and reduce redness from existing breakouts.
Lightweight Oil-Free Moisturizer
End with a thin layer of gel moisturizer. This seals in the actives and prevents overnight dehydration without suffocating oily skin.
